How to Bid

Bid Live Online

This feature is new to South Bay Auctions.  A buyer can now bid live online or manage left bids directly on our website. The standard "in-house" Buyer's Premium is applied to all invoices, so there is no extra charge for using this service.

Bid by Telephone

Telephone bidding is provided on a limited basis dependent on demand.  We recommend registering early to reserve a phone line.  One of our staff will contact you ahead of your lot to bid with you in real-time on the day of the sale. The standard "in-house" Buyer's Premium is applied to all invoices, so there is no additional charge for phone bids.

Absentee bids are executed by South Bay Auctions incrementally up to your bid during the sale. An option for a "plus one" tie breaker bid is also available so you won't lose an item to someone else with the same bid. The standard "in-house" Buyer's Premium is applied to all invoices.

For over 40 years bidders have always been welcome to join us in person and bid the old-fashioned way. The standard "in-house" Buyer's Premium is applied to all invoices.
