Large Group of (49) Printed Matter and Ephemera, to include:
(4) advertisements for goldsmiths/silversmiths and jewelers, comprising a "Makepeace & Walford, Goldsmiths & Jewellers", London, engraved double trade card, (mounted to paper, stains, losses), a "George Edward, Court Jeweller and Silversmith", London trade card, a "Thomas Horton and Co., Makers of German Silver", Birmingham, newsprint advertisement, (laid down to card), and an "L.S. Jacquin, Jeweler and Silversmith", New York, chromolithograph trade card, (toning, pencil annotations); (16) armorial engraved bookplates, British, most on laid paper, including Thomas Cowper, Esq. of Overleigh, Sir George Cooke, Baronet, of Wheatley, Thomas Estcourt, William Lewis Hughes of Kinmel Park, William Carus Wilson, Adam Fairholme, Esquire of Chapel, Sir John Anstruther, Baronet, two bookplates from Prince Augustus Frederick, Duke of Sussex, and a Lewis Morris facsimile bookplate (on wove paper, lacking his name); "Hotchkiss Repeating Rifle" (Winchester) newspaper advertisement, (minor edge tears); newsprint advertisement for "W.C. Duncan, Surgeon Dentist", Cincinnati; engraved bookplate for "Thomas Crosby Treslove, Lincoln's Inn", London; engraved calling card for "Mrs. M. King, No. 9 State Street", New York, (toning, foxing, losses); and a British free postal cover addressed to Mssrs. Storr & Morton (Gold and Silversmiths), Bond Street, London, from Skelmersdale, possibly from Edward Bootle Wilbraham, Baron, as indicated by the inscription on mount, circa 1840s/50s.

(4) newspapers, comprising "Newburyport Herald and Country Gazette", Friday, Sept. 6, 1799, No. 99 of Vol. II, (creasing, stains, toning); "National Intelligencer , and Washington Advertiser", Friday, June 15th, 1804, Vol. IV, No. DLXXVI, with subscriber "Joseph Story" (Supreme Court Justice) inscribed in ink at upper right, (creasing, toning, tears along crease); "New England Palladium & Commercial Advertiser", Friday, February 5th, 1819, No. 11, Vol. XLVIII, (toning, foxing, stains, creases); and "Maryland Republican", Saturday, March 8, 1845, Vol. III, No. 37, with subscriber "H. W. Archer" (Henry W. Archer, Politician) inscribed in ink at upper right, (stains, foxing); (5) booklets or periodicals, comprising "Supplement to the Gentleman's Magazine for the Year 1748", (lacking pages and cover); "Life" magazine, December 22, 1892, Volume XX, Number 521, (repaired spine, pencil annotations); "Guide to the Pike's Peak Region" booklet, circa 1920s; "Archery: Merit Badge Series", New York: Boy Scouts of America, 1932, (minor toning and handling); program for "The Fall Meeting of the Wallpole Society", 1964; and envelope inscribed "Plays and Programmes of plays in which my mother acted, 1849-1858" containing (11) plays and programs from Boston in which Julia Cabot acted, sometimes alongside Fannie Kemble, comprising two plays, and nine programs, some duplicates, (creasing, stains, tears).
Together with (4) artworks, to include:
British Coat of Arms, probably relating to the Codrington family, watercolor and gouache on paper, framed under glass, (creasing, toning); glass plate negative depicting the façade of Barlow's Jewelry Store in Georgetown, Kentucky, with several men posed in front, (some light emulsion scratches); drawing book with Silversmith's designs, Jacob Schaffer, possibly of Washington, PA, probably 19th century, (stains, losses, toning, foxing, creases); and "The New Courthouse at Pittsburg", engraving from book, "Historical Collections of the State of Pennsylvania" by Sherman Day, published by George W. Gorton, Philadelphia, 1843, with hand-coloring added later.

3. Pickup at our gallery. We are located at 485 Montauk Hwy, East Moriches, NY 11940. We are open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm for pickup. If picking up, applicable local sales tax will be added to your invoice. Please contact us before coming so we can retrieve your item(s).
4. If you purchased furniture or very large items, please email us and we can provide you a list of shippers to contact.
5. Naturally, you can also use an outside shipper of your choice.
